Outside my window at home
A native Australian parrot which is widespread. This one (and three others) popped over for a bit of afternoon tea the other day. Calling someone a galah in Australia is a traditional way of questioning their intelligence. "Ya flaming galah" is as common in Oz as calling someone a "goose" in other parts of the world. Galahs (the bird) do come across as being a little stupid as they waddle around eating grass seeds. They do much on wing.
